Frequently asked questions

How does self-service pickup actually work?

Once your booking is confirmed, you'll get a text and email with your pickup location and a personal unlock code. Show up any time during your pickup window, enter the code, and the trailer's ready to hook up — no one from Dalton Bin & Trailer needs to meet you.

What do I need to tow the trailer?

A tow vehicle rated for the trailer's loaded weight, a properly rated hitch/ball, and working trailer lights. If the trailer has brakes, you'll need a functioning brake controller or breakaway cable. Full towing requirements are listed in your rental agreement at checkout.

Can I extend my rental?

Yes — open your booking above and extend it directly, as long as the trailer isn't already reserved for the next customer. Extending ahead of your original return time is the easiest way to guarantee it.

What can't go in the trailer?

Liquids, hazardous or flammable materials, and hot ash or embers are never allowed. Keep the load within the trailer's rated weight and spread evenly so nothing shifts in transit.

Where do I return the trailer?

Back to the same pickup location, empty and swept out, by your reservation's end time — unless your confirmation says otherwise. Late returns are billed at the daily rate until it's back.
